FOGGING FOR TOBACCO GROWING

The post-harvest process of tobacco leaves is of great importance because of its added value. Problems during harvesting, drying, storage and packaging directly reduce the quality of the tobacco and also increase economic losses.

STORAGE AND CONSERVATION OF TOBACCO

Firstly, a humidity control unit and a timer regulate the humidification of the tobacco leaves by our high-pressure fogging units.
They provide optimal humidity to the tobacco in order to obtain a quality product.

The ideal environment for the tobacco transformation process requires a temperature of between 20 and 24°C with a humidity level of between 55 and 75%.

The recommended storage conditions are 24°C and 75% humidity.

Furthermore, if the ambient air becomes too dry during the manufacture of cigarettes, they shrink, become brittle and lose weight. However, with good humidity conditions, the tobacco no longer falls out when it is jammed in the paper.

In conclusion, using a fogging system avoids the drying out of tobacco leaves, the crumbling of tobacco, the loss of tobacco for cigarette making and facilitates the manufacturing process.
