DUST SUPPRESSION BY MISTING

First and foremost, misting eliminates airborne dust. Indeed, to improve visibility and air quality in the workplace, misting remains the best solution. The water mist moistens the dust, which then solidifies and falls to the ground. This is known as dust suppression or dust abatement.

Our high-pressure misting solutions offer the power and efficiency to capture fine particles. Dust differs according to its nature and size. In fact, the projection of ultra-fine water droplets delivers effective results in removing all types of dust.

BRUMSTYL’s dust abatement solutions are used in a wide range of sectors: quarries, mines, road construction, demolition sites, asbestos removal sites, waste processing centers, aggregate and industrial minerals extraction sites, cement works, sawmills, decontamination sites, etc.

THE 3 BRUMSTYL MISTING PROCESSES FOR DUST SUPPRESSION

1/ DUST SUPPRESSION WITH VENTISTYL FOGGING CANNON

The dust abatement technology developed by BRUMSTYL, using a single VENTISTYL misting cannon, can treat up to 70,500 m² of dust abatement (e.g. quarrying, demolition, asbestos removal, etc.).

This natural, economical method is also suitable for large premises requiring dust suppression, such as ore or grain storage rooms.

Fog cannons can also be used for gas cooling, compost odor treatment, watering large areas (fields, racecourses, etc.), as well as in wastewater treatment and industrial production plants.

2/ MISTYL FOGGING SYSTEM FOR DUST SUPPRESSION

Thanks to BRUMSTYL technology, dust created by hoppers, conveyor chutes, screeners and crushers is managed more effectively by positioning high-pressure nozzle booms at critical points.

In fact, the arrangement of ramps suspended downstream and upstream of dust displacement effectively contains and lowers volatile organic components.

3/ DUST SUPPRESSION WITH DUSTYL ENGINE ON-BOARD MISTING SYSTEM

With BRUMSTYL’s DUSTYL ENGINE dust suppression system, it is now possible to treat dust as soon as it forms.

Installed directly on the excavator’s oil-hydraulic system, the DUSTYL ENGINE acts as a real cleaner, drawing water from the water tank and spraying it around the excavator via high-pressure spray nozzles.

DUSTYL ENGINE is designed to remove dust at the point of origin. Specially designed for excavators, mobile crushers, BRHs and other hydraulic machines. The system works under high pressure, so the nozzles spray fine droplets of water at a distance of around 7m. The system fits onto the machine’s hydraulic system, and is very easy to install.

The high-pressure water network is manufactured in our workshop, with crimping to predetermined machine lengths.

DUST SUPPRESSION WITH VENTISTYL MISTING CANNON

Fogging is increasingly used for dust suppression in quarries.

Primary crushers, secondary crushers, plate screeners and conveyors generate very fine dust.

High-pressure water misting is the best solution for reducing dust without moistening the product, and therefore without clogging the screen.

DUST SUPPRESSION BY MISTING AND ITS BENEFITS

The use of high-pressure misting for dust suppression has several advantages:

  • It reduces health risks for operators and the general public on construction sites and in industry.
  • It complies with health obligations that limit the exposure of construction and demolition workers to nuisances.
  • It takes the environment into account by improving air quality.
  • It captures finer dust particles.
  • It increases visibility and prevents accidents.

  • It is economical and ecological.
